The beautiful city of Yokohama with Fuji San overlooking, I’m in the Fujisawa stake but Yokohama is close to us and close to my heart.

アロハ Aloha family and friends!!!

So this week we had a ton of plans and the beauty of being on a mission, not a single one of them went according to how we had planned it, but they all went the way the lord intended for us to go and that's all that matters.

So this week we visited many less active members and helped them feel of the love God has for them. Two of these less active sisters we teach every week and I have only been here about three weeks but I have seen the gospel change their countenances and they are the ones asking if we can begin the lessons and prayers. Their eagerness and love of hearing gods words make me so happy. We visited two other sisters whom I had not previously met, we first visited kanbei shimai and we were on splits so I had no idea what we could share with her or what she needed. Sister Lambert (from HB went to The same high school, #FVHSRepresent) and I prayed and decided to share 1nephi 11:21-23, well we met with her and shared this scripture and she seemed pretty content, and told her how God really does love her, we looked her in the eyes and asked her when does she feel God's love. She broke down and began to cry, she said how life has been so hard, her mom passed away and she has been so sad from her passing, but when missionaries visit her she feels gods love very strong. She said that right there she could feel his love because we came to talk with her. We were also able to visit fushimi shimai, but she wasn't home so we decided to leave her a note for some odd reason it was taking forever to look up kanji and write out a simple note, we finally finished and as we were walking out of her street, in comes fushimi shimai, returning from kiyoto with two large bags. We helped her up her street which is one large hill and of course she's at the very end and we shared a message with her and were able to help her feel the spirit and have hope for good things to come. It was a blessing that we were in the right place at the right time.

We also have been meeting with Naomi shimai, who is just amazing, I love her! She just decided to go on a mission and will begin preparing her papers, we have been practicing teaching lessons with her, and the spirit was so strong we were able to tell her how through serving a mission, we have experienced an indescribable joy that only comes through complete devotion and service to the lord as a missionary. We all started crying talking about how happy the gospel has made us, as I looked at Naomi I remembered feeling terrified and thinking I have no idea what I'm getting into and wondering if I was enough to carry out such a task as assisting the lord in his work. I remembered when I was privileged to go out with the sister missionaries, Mack and Moore and always talking with sister Rowe and sister Collins and thought about how their encouragement and love helped me combat my insecurities and fears with faith. Through praying with her and telling her the truth, that this experience is unlike anything I have ever done and is truly the most rewarding work you could ever do I feel like I was able to share that same faith and peace that my
missionary role models shared with me. She is so cute she is very serious about her mission prep and wants to pour her heart and soul, it makes me so excited that we get to help her along this process.

On Saturday we met with Sakura chan for a bit and talked about scriptures, she is going to a Protestant girls school and studies the Bible. We asked her what her fave scripture was and she shared one in Corinthians about charity which was very similar to the scripture in Moroni 7. We asked her why and she said she really doesn't know she thought it was nice, but she feels a very warm feeling, she doesn't know how to explain she says she feels very warm in her heart.....thank goodness for the spirit! We told her she is feeling the spirit and that is God telling her he loves her. She was shocked and was touched that he cared about her individually. We are excited to work with her!!

So a challenge this week has been lessons, it's been a bit of a struggle getting people to meet with other priorities and what not, but I learned two important lessons from the lack of lessons. Although we were able to mogi (role play) lessons with ,embers and what not, I wrestled with myself at night wondering what I needed to do more, why weren't any of our plans able to go through. This last week we had zone meeting and through a lil kanji lesson from elder ecchu I was able to understand what the lord was communicating to me. 宣教師<---this is the kanji for missionary. The first part (宣) means to proclaim, or announce. The second part (教) means faith, doctrine. The last part (師) means teacher or master. I know that as a missionary my purpose is to proclaim the gospel, but one thing Elder Ballard counseled us is he needs us to become master teachers. The lord doesn't need mediocre teachers, but master teachers to bring this message to his children. I was humbled to learn this lesson and grateful for the growing theopportunities the lord continues to bless me with. I am so grateful for all that I learn each and everyday, the lord is blessing all of His missionaries wherever they are in the world and helping us to become like the master teacher himself, Jesus Christ. I love my
savior. I love you all! Oh and elder Nelson is speaking to us on Wednesday!! #stoked!!!
